Quick Trigger
Meet Quick Trigger or just “Trigger” as we call him. What you see is what you get with this stallion. He is a genetic master piece coming from decades of selective breeding to create this magnificent stallion. Quick Trigger is the elite, being performance bred with a remarkable pedigree and WGC background, flawlessly stunning conformation and bold presents in stature, a uniquely inherited cream gene making him a Smoky Black and color producer. This stallion is a triple threat not only possessing all the best in bloodlines, build, rhythm, reach, color, and personality but he is throwing all these desirable trails to his foals and proving himself as a remarkable sire!

Breeding

Trigger’s Sire is Trip-My-Trigger-P. the stunning  2004 WGC Model Stallion out of the legendary Southern Sunrise, undisputedly one of the most influential stallions in the breed since Missouri Traveler E. Trip-My-Trigger’s dam, Bobby Sue’s Peggy Sue, has to be one of the best bread mares in the breed being the daughter of Multi WGC Missouri’s Bobby Sue and sired by Multi Res. WGC Missouri Outlaw C.Trigger’s Dam ,Rambler’s Black Fancy, is a direct daughter of WGC Missouri’s Rambler E. a proven champion who is a son of the immortal Missouri Traveler E. and a Red Rawhide daughter. Rambler’s Black Fancy dam is out of the well know Sun’s Black Diamond, a son of the infamous Midnight Sun 2 X WGC Tennessee Walking horse.

Conformation

Trigger is now 6 years old and finally reaching his prime, his shockingly beautiful presents is nothing less than what you would expect from the son of a model champion. Trigger’s coat stays a rich smooth chocolate all year around never thickening even in the winter. His 2 foot main splits over to both sides accompanied by a forelock that near reaches his nose, and a tail that just misses the ground. Triggers face is uniquely beautiful unlike that of any of our other horses. It is slightly dished with a small nose and muscular jaw. His has beautiful intelligent eyes that stand out. Over all a stunning package of perfection.

Gait

Trigger was pick out as a foal specifically to be a stallion for the natural qualities he possess in his gaits. From day one it has been all rhythm and reach with this guy he simply doesn’t know how to move otherwise. We have watched him gait around our field sense he was 5 months old, like nothing we’d ever seen before. Transitioning to saddle was no different only slight adjustment were needed it came so easy with him. All smooth, at all speeds, all the time. Trigger’s built with a thin chest that maximizes his endurance and long solid legs allowing for far reaching movement. His reach is very natural and FAR, his walk is so deep it leaves you swaying up and down with the rhythm. The best part of this all is that his foals are displaying this same natural movement and reach! He is passing these desirable traits on!

Color

Trigger’s color is often over looked in genetics, it is the combination of black with the cream gene it’s called Smoky Black. Although he looks like your ordinary black horse he isn’t, his coat appears more like dark chocolate in appearance. The cream gene is not dominant to black there for it doesn’t display it’s self the way it does on buckskins and palominos but it is still present. This means that trigger can through palominos, Buckskins, and smoky blacks when bred to non colored mares and he already has! The perks to breeding to a smoky black is that when the cream gene isn’t thrown the majority of the time you’re not left with sorrels but blacks which is a more desirable color. Trigger is four foal crops down with another on the way and of 7 foals not one has been a sorrel. He has had 1 smoky black, 2 palominos, 1 classic champagne, and 2 blacks with 4 more foals on the way!

Personality

Trigger from day one as a 5 month old has been such a fun horse to be around, super teachable and extremely smart witted. He learns at a very fast rate usually only having to be shown something once or twice before he picks it up. He’s very level headed never been one to panic in sticky situation. As a foal he got his leg stuck on top of a fence(not sure how he did it) and just calmly waited for someone to come along and get him most would panic were he really doesn’t care. Trigger loves attention and always comes to the gait when he sees people coming. Trigger’s has always been advanced for his age as a colt. At 5 ½ months old he already would mount any mare he came near, that said, I won’t begin to tell you that this guy is so calm that a three year old could ride him round mares in heat. He is ALL stallion and very much about his woman in breeding season. He’s always gentle toward people but since he turned three has gotten too cocky with our geldings and trying to show dominance so he’s got his own arena in the middle of them all. When he’s being consistently ridden we can take I’m out around geldings and mares alike with no problems.  So far from his 4 foal crops he’s been throwing big personality and super laid back dispositions on all his foals we have been super impressed with him!
